WHO ARE WE?
Alex Karpa and Forest Alethea are both artists living and working out of their home studios in Brooklyn.
Forest and Alex met last spring as participants in a show at the Brooklyn Art Bazaar. Soon after, they met to work on collaborative art pieces and realized their common aspiration to bring creative practice to their communities.
WHAT IS M A K E STUDIO?
We're so excited to finally share M A K E STUDIO with all of you!
Over the past two years we've both been dreaming up the idea of starting an art collective as a way to gather people together around art + making.
As artists we share a similar ambition to provide both makers and non-makers the tools to engage in creative play. Many months in the “making,” M A K E STUDIO is our effort to make your mind dance, your hands mess, your heart float!
Our workshops provide artists with a platform to share + teach a piece of their practice, and give aspiring makers the opportunity to dive into hands-on artistic processes.
